Very central and easy to get to. Easy acess to the trafford centre and shopping. Lots of places to eat and drink close by. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly, would definitely recommend the hotel.

Parking is available at local undercover parking around the corner - hotel offers discount but make sure that you receive clear instructions on how this works to avoid paying full price.

Good service, clean rooms, but lumpy beds.

THis hotel is very conveniently located close to Picadilly railway station and Picadilly Gardens metrolink. With a quick connection to SAlford Quays and Old Trafford. The hot buffet style english breakfast was more than adequate to start the day off in the correct way. The staff were all very courteous. During my stay there was some refubishment work going on but the disruption was definitely kept to a minimum.

I was in a party of 6 girls, we found the location and pricing of this hotel great! I would recommend it to others and we are already planning to come back!

Spot on hotel in an ideal location, well worth the price we paid and then some! Would stay there again when next in Manchester.

I checked in to the Britannia for one night and was checked in painlessly, the lift to the room was slow so used the stairs to go back down, the room was clean as was the bathroom.there were renovations on the staircase and with threadbare carpets it was easy to see why, the staff were curtious and friendly as was the barman. I didn't take breakfast so can't comment on it.I would stay here again.

staffs are friendly n helpful. however, the hotel is not well maintained. i can see that the hotel can be quite stunning when it was first built but after many 10s of years, it has wore off alot due to the lacking of regular maintenance (wall paper are peeling off and carpet are tore apart everywhere u go). besides i would expect a hotel of this size to have a pool but was a little disappointed when i found none. location is ok about 10 mins walk from station n close to shopping area.

Excellent Hotel and fantastic location. Very clean and comfortable and if I ever need to spend the night in Machester again then this is the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was undergoing some renervation work but it did not disturb us or make it unbearable to to stay in. A great hotel.

The reception staff are terrible, we were left 25 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there. When they finally did get around to speaking to us, they did not know how to book us in. The place is a building site. The rooms are old and tatty, there was supposed to be internet in the rooms, there was not. The fire alarm system is faulty so we did not even get a full nights sleep due to it going off at 4 in the morning. The only up side is that the bar maid and porter were extremely friendly. I would not recommend this hotel.

It is good value to stay despite no window inside the room. Location is the best amongst all others in town, close to coach and bus terminal station and not far away from railway as well. One thing might be the partition walls between each room are too thin that it is very noisy if some big business is carried on in other room.

Stunning Victorian atrium - all cast iron in gold and royal blue and a huge chandelier. Rooms, etc are average. Does have a policy of no admittance to non-residents after 11 pm. No web connection as yet.

I stayed at the Britannia Manchester on 3/4/07 on a business trip with a collegue from Ireland, although I live in Manchester I was staying in town to entertain some customers . The hotel is conveniently situated and value for money. But my stay was ruined by a group of young people having a party in a room two doors away from me. I complained several times to them and to the hotel and by 04.35 I phoned for the duty manager who came and gave them a final warning, but as soon as he left the music was turned up again. On checking out I found several other guests who had had their stay ruined by this behaviour. If the hotel cannot respect their paying guests and give them a quiet environment then I shall not be using this hotel again.

The Britannia is a very pleasant and friendly hotel located in the centre of Mancester. Rooms were comfy and there was a wide range of facilities. Food was of a good standard and overall the Hotel was excellent value for money.

hotel is very easy to get to from piccadilly station. a 5 minute walk at most. its close to all the main shopping areas of the city centre, which makes it a good place to stay if thats the purpose of your visit.

I would stay here again if I had such a good deal (55 inc B&B). Its quite a grand looking hotel, my room was a titchy single which is why I got it so cheap I think. But it did the job and was great value for money. So accessible to central Manchester. Nice brekkie, lots of choice.

When we arrived, there was a fire alert which was dealt with swiftly and efficiently.Within a few minutes, there was a board up with an apology. All the staff we met were really helpful and friendly-we had a problem with the card key but again, this was sorted out promptly. I would suggest that extra pillows are left in the rooms' wardrobes as not everybody can sleep flat!

Great location although the parking is expensive, even with a 20% discount from the hotel! Check in/out was a bit slow with no extra staff for peak times, but apart from that all was good.

Valet parking?? Did you mean NCP round the corner??? Arrived to find that our booked double executive room with B and B was actually a twin room with no breakfast... The woman said they were full and it took 45 minutes and a chat with the manager to sort out what we'ed booked. On the other hand the breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice
