Other leisure pursuits include our own hot air Balloon, and the beautiful 1920 river launch, the Lady Sophina. Restaurants in Bath dont come any finer than The Dower House where Head Chefs, Mark Brega and Gordon Jones, and their brigade work closely to develop the synthesis of innovative cuisine within this rich architectural setting, striving to create the very best gourmet cuisine for a contemporary British menu that draws on influences from both the Mediterranean and the Far East. The Dower House is the Royal Crescents award-winning restaurant and one of the finest restaurants in Bath, if not the finest, open to both house guests and non-residents. The menu at The Dower House changes with the seasons to match the climate and to make best use of the very finest fresh ingredients. The cellar, expertly managed by sommelier Jean Marc Leitao, complements the menus and provides ample choice for both the casual diner and the true connoisseur of fine wines. Non residents are welcome for lunch or dinner. However, booking is essential.

I booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary. I went for a double suite. The location of the hotel is fantastic, the centre of the Royal Crescent, Bath's most famous landmark. The staff were fabulous from the moment we arrived, they park your car and bring your luggage to the room. The room was amazingly high quality, we had our own conservatory. There was a little construction going on, but nothing to worry about. The resaurant and bar are very cool and the Bath House was fantastic. Food was amazing. They bring you tea in bed in the morning and nothing is too much trouble. Bring plenty of change for tipping though. All in all, the hotel is top quality all round, but of course you have to pay top rates...but worth it!

A great hotel very expensive if you pay standard rates and expensive even on late rooms. Nonetheless if you want a little luxury, superb service and a relaxed environment then this is the place to go in Bath. THe only problem is that that the capacity of the pump house is limited to 12 so we didn't get in whilst we were there.

A beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Excellent, friendly service. Good food and bar service. The spa facilities are lovely - it was wonderful swimming in the pool with the sunlight flooding through the big arched stone windows.

Superb welcome. Beautiful hotel and room and well situated to explore Bath. Very clean leisure facility which had a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere in the evenings with candles burning by the swimming pool.
